TREESA

Time: in the Autumn of 1996
Our tree, which we named "Treesa" after the word "tree", is located on the playground of Forest Park Elementary School, on 50 Woodlawn Drive in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, zip code of 02852. It is about 20 feet from the blacktop.
Our tree is a Sugar Maple. This tree was born in 1945, 17 years before the school was built. She is 52 years old.
Nobody could fully hug Treesa, except Alysha. Measuring Treesa from the bottom, there is 2 1/2 feet until it splits into multiple branches. There are not many bugs on Treesa.
The soil around her is soft, sandy, dark brown, moist soil. If you look closely you can see tiny grains of worn-down pebbles. There are trees and other plants surrounding Treesa left and right.
We made a bark rubbing of Treesa. There is a big crack in her middle trunk.
