TREE JOURNALS

We started our tree journals the very first week of school. Every month we write in our journal after observing the changes of the seasons with our tree. Our tree was very green in September, and in October became yellow. In November the branches lost their leaves and our tree "was bare and naked".
In January we made bird feeders in school, from pinecones, popsicle sticks, peanutbutter and seeds and hung them on our tree.
What we wrote:
"It is a skinny tree. I can see it from my seat. I hope I see some birds."
"It is helping the birds. You are doing a good deed."
