PREFACE: Prior to initiating this project the students will become familiar with Netscape, Eudora, and Clarisworks applications through various activities. These activities will include e-mailing other students within the school, Internet Scavenger Hunt, and a polling survey with resulting data collected, graphed, and interpreted from a spreadsheet.


PROJECT GOAL: For students to be aware and have an understanding of the process of voting,tallying and recording votes in a democratic presidential election.


PROJECT OUTCOMES:
1.
Students will be able to explain the process of a national presidential election by researching through the Internet and holding an election simulation.
2. Students will be able to collect, graph, and interpret election data.
3. Students will enhance their computer skills by accessing available technology via the Internet, electronic mail, and Clarisworks applications.
