Cardinals

Chirping, hopping, flying cardinals,
Red male and gray female,
Eating fruit and sunflower seeds,
Making footprints in the snow.


THE CARDINAL

The size of the cardinal is seven and a half inches to nine inches long.The color of the male cardinal is red with a black face. The female is gray. They both have brown wings. The female also has a touch of red. They live mostly in thick bushes or vines.
The food they eat is insects, fruits, sunflowers, melons, and squash. Their special adaptation is the male is red and lures enemies away. Also,the female can blend in with the nest.
