TUITION AND FEES:
ACADEMIC YEAR 2007-2008
Students
in the Education Ph.D. Program take 6-7 credit-hours of coursework in
most
semesters (see course sequence outline).
This constitutes part-time
status
(fewer than 9 credit-hours), which qualifies them for tuition-and-fees
that
are assessed by credit-hour.
Shown
below are the schedules of tuition and fees for part-time students during
2007-2008. There are three
different schedules:
(1) schedule for Rhode
Island residents;
(2) schedule
for "regional residents" (the Metropolitan Tuition Policy applies
to those whose permanent place of residence is a Massachusetts community
within 20 miles of Providence: Attleboro,
Bellingham, Berkley, Blackstone, Dartmouth, Dighton, Douglas, Easton, Fall
River, Foxboro, Franklin, Freetown, Hopedale, Mansfield, Mendon, Millville,
Norfolk, North Attleboro, Norton, Plainville, Raynham, Rehoboth, Seekonk,
Somerset, Swansea, Taunton, Uxbridge, Westport, Wrentham, and residents of
Lakeville who graduated from Apponequet Regional High School);
(3) schedule for other out-of-state residents.
In
order to qualify for schedules (1) or (2), students must provide affidavits
of residence (see Application
Process).
