The Rhode Island Teachers and Technology Initiative
The Rhode Island Foundation has provided a three year grant to give more than a quarter of the Rhode Island public school teachers lap-top computers by the year 2000. The goals of the effort are:
- to enhance the technology skills of teachers.
- to make technology an essential tool in the professional work of teachers.
- and, most importantly, to promote the use of technology with students.
The investment by the foundation has served to coalesce the efforts of many partners in bringing technology resources to Rhode Island schools. Partners joining in this effort include:
