THE MISSION OF THE SCHOOL

The Pennfield School is a non-denominational, coeducational, independent school providing classes from Nursery and Pre-Kindergarten through the Eight grade.

Strong academic, arts, and physical education curricula are provided. The Pennfield School emphasizes developmentally appropriate foundation skills. The teachers give attention to the individual child; uniqueness is respected and creativity is encouraged.

The School encourages love of learning, self discipline, curiosity, and imagination in a caring and supportive environment which emphasizes self-esteem and respect for all others. The School recgnizes the importance of a diverse community.

An important aspect of the School community is parent-teacher cooperation and family participation in school community events. The teachers and staff strive, through example, to instill in the students tolerance, personal integrity, humor, and social and community responsibility.

The Pennfield School graduates are prepared to succeed at a wide variety of secondary schools.
